If you had your choice of years for silver American eagles, which would you buy and why?
I’m looking to buy some more silver bullion, not interested in collectable or rare coins, just best reflects the spot price. Which years are best and why thanks.
Well if they all cost the same, I’d buy 1996 over any others because it has the lowest mintage, and command a premium. So if you see those for sale without a premium, choose those.
Other than that, I wouldn’t care what year it was. Maybe 1986 since it was the first year? Or if you have kids who were born on some year 1986-2011 you could buy their birth year?
